Mud tank union is mainly used in the pipeline connection whose pressure is not more than 150 psi. It is designed to take a maximum of 7° misalignment on the pipe. It is composed of three parts: male sub, female sub and seal ring. The seal ring is made from nitrile, and it can provide compressive sealing. Besides, the elongated cross-section of the seal ring is designed to provide greater sealing surface. The popular sizes of mud tank unions are 6", 8", 10" and 12". Mud tank unions of 6", 8" and 10" can be socket welded to pipe or butt welded to tube. And mud tank unions of 12" should be butt welded to pipe.
